Thurgood Marshall's Courthouse
Did you know that the federal courthouses are open to the public? I didn't, but I learned about this magnificent buildings last week. When I received the invitation to tour the Thurgood Marshall Courthouse, I was very excited. I did not know that this was actually the second circuit Appeals court. I knew the building, as the Second Circuit Court or the Federal Courthouse. I had passed it for years, but I did not know that the name had changed to Thurgood Marshall Courthouse in 2001.

Welcome to the new re-designed website for Special Places to See Productions. Our goal, as individuals who love exploring, history, architecture, is to provide a comprehensive lists of places for you to explore.
Special Places to See is a website which houses a compilation of aggregated information of public art, museums, historical houses, landmarks and parks by neighborhoods. We are not historians or tour guides, but storytellers. We offer you a taste of the uniqueness of some sites through short historical data and pictures. Our hope is for you to explore them.

2015 will be an exciting year for us because we have plans for:

The locations chosen meet the following criteria:

3) Landmarked buildings or historical in nature
4) Majority not-for-profit organizations
Most of the smaller locations request a small fee so that they can continue to provide us with tours or events.
