Happy Thanksgiving to all from our staff. My tradition is to see the balloons blown on the day before Thanksgiving. This year the weather was dreadful, it rained, snowed, sleet and it was dark by 4pm, the weather outside was frightful. It kept the visitors away from this event and even me. I decided to check it out at 6:00am. The buses arrived, parade participants disembarked, the cheerleaders, the handlers, the band members. The activity this morning was enthralling.

I wanted to share with you the balloons as they lay on the ground before they begin their march down the avenue. This is the time of year that this neighborhood is full of energy and beauty with the clown balloons lined up on the fence of the museum. The blown balloons waiting for their handler to raise them up to the sky.

I remember setting the table at my mother's with my brothers and sisters all around. After we stuffed ourselves, we played board games and there was much laughter all around us. When I moved to New York, I would spend this day at my aunt's home with all my cousins in the Bronx. This year, Thanksgiving will be with dear friends. Unlike previous years, we plan to attend a restaurant.

Thanksgiving is a time when family, friends get together to give thanks for all the blessings in their lives. Blessings of love, parents, children, family, friends and so much more. We want blessings to pour over every one in the world. We pray that peace will fill the hearts of everyone and to have a war free year. May this holiday season bring peace, love and charity to all.
